IN THIS LESSON

Can you actually afford the travel?

This sounds harsh and it’s confronting especially when your friend is taking off to Europe for summer and you have serious FOMO about it. But Europe will always be there, (maybe minus the Azure window lol), African safari will always be there. Do not take on thousands of dollars of debt simply because you don’t want to miss out. Be responsible and plan for these trips. Be realistic about what you can afford. This is why I’m putting this at the start. Not to stop you travelling (I think travel is important for everyone especially for learning and gaining life experience). But the reality is that sometimes you simply cannot afford it. That’s ok. Let your friends go without you. As hard as it is, you can go another time. This travel budget course will provide you the tools and knowledge to decide what is best for you.

You should not be going to Europe/ wherever and coming back broke …this is far too common.

A lot of people hate hearing about budgets. But I am here to tell you that a budget is not meant as a restriction – money is a tool to achieve your goals and dreams, and a budget is a means to manage your money. The way you spend money should be in line with YOUR values – if you want to spend $2500 on one night in Bora Bora, then do it so long as it aligns to your goals and not someone else’s dreams. Do not let anyone tell you how you should spend your money – money is personal. In saying that it is important that you know how to manage your money and take care of your financial future. Let’s begin!
